For my first journal, I have an idea for a action film which mixes the Heoric Bloodshed and Film Noir genres.

Title: (Haven't thought of one yet)

Plot Summary: Two estranged brothers, one a jaded private eye, the other a flashy hitman must reforge their lost brotherly bond as they take down the crime family that wants them both dead. LOTS of shootouts ensue.


PLOT OUTLINE
The film begins with a shootout in Chinatown where the Hitman takes out the city's tong (Chinese American Mafia).

Crime Boss successfully carries out his scheme to overthrow and kill the previous crime boss (his own father). He soon orders a hit on Hitman and Private Eye.

Throughout the movie, it is shown that Consigliere has his own mysterous agenda as he manipulates both sides (specifically, he manipulates the brothers into attacking specific locations).

At the end of the movie (after the huge shootout) the brothers are wounded and are held under the guns of Consigliere as the Crime Boss gloats about how he won. The consigliere suddenly tosses his revolvers to the brothers who each catch one and empty them into the crime boss. Consigliere then reveals himself to be an FBI agent and makes his escape (commenting that his boss (J Edgar Hoover) doesn't like it when other FBI agents get famous) as the brothers, now rebonded, go surrender themselves to the police.


Setting: U.S. East coast city, 1930s

CHARACTERS:
Private Eye: A jaded private detecive who is the older brother. He is a Great War veteran and a former cop who is sarcastic and cynical, but has a personal code of honor. His main weapon is a magnum revolver that he wields with great accuracy.

Hitman: A flashy hitman who is the younger brother. He is stylish and a show-off, but is honorable and has a conscience and was the top hitman for the previous don of the crime family. His main wepons are a pair of pistols.

Crime Boss: The main antagonist. He is greedy, ambitious, arrogant, and cruel and plots to take over the family and expand into the drug trade. He carries an engraved and decorated pistol.

The Consigliere: The top advisor to the crime family. He is cunning, calculating, cultured, honorable, and manipulative. He can frequently be seen drinking tea or playing chess and carries a pair of revovlers. SPOILER ALERT: He is actually an undercover FBI agent (SPOILER OVER)
