Also know as Lawful Anal, Lawful Stupid is an alignment that calls itself Lawful Good or Lawful Neutral, but seems to forget about the "good" part. These characters also tend to have high standards and favor extreme punishments such as torture or death for minor crimes such as jaywalking or littering.

The picture above shows SFPD officer Sledge Hammer (from the "Dirty Harry"-parody TV show Sledge Hammer!) about to blown up an entire apartment complex just to deal with ONE sniper on the roof (and that's just the first five minutes of the FIRST episode).

Other Lawful Stupid characters include:
Rorschach (Watchmen)
Miko Miyazaki (Order of the Stick)
Darkwarrior Duck (Darkwing Duck episode: "Time and Punishment")
Any paladin

(If anybody from the tvtropes website wants to make this the image for the "Lawful Stupid" page, go ahead)

lol I see.

Is this the antithesis to Chaotic Hungry?

Detective Sledge Hammer (pictured above) often refers to criminals as "yogurt eatin' creeps" or "jerk weeds".

I'd say ol'Walt is more of the Chaotic Good variety.

I call it just plain lawful evil. Hitler and Stalin both fit into that category. The Kims do too, to an extent. They can be more neutral evil, though, which is more dangerous, because that allows them to shift back and forth between chaotic evil and lawful evil.

So are Rorschach Darkwing and Darthwing Vader both in this category?

Wouldn't that be chaotic stupid?

No, Chaotic Stupid is when a person/character thinks that being "Chaotic Neutral" means being completely fucking nuts. They are very impulsive and tend to do stupid and/or crazy things on a whim like painting a herd of sheep purple or cartwheeling naked on a battlefield.

The third edition even says "Remember that the chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it."

(In fact, I'm getting around to making a Chaotic Stupid picture)

Examples:
Deadpool
Zim (Invader Zim)
Vezon (Bionicle)
Sam's Mother (ICarly)

Actually, paladins needn't be lawful stupid. In fact, lawful stupid paladins don't remain paladins for long (provided the gods of said universe actually pay attention).

A paladin who slaughters a whole village of goblins... children et all shouldn't remaina paladin... they do, but only because their gods are just as bigoted.
